Many thanks for the quality entry and the stewards for their hard work. I thoroughly enjoyed judging our lovely breed at the best dog show in the world and found it an honour. Looking across the ring it looked like two breeds with the overseas dogs full of coat down to the more workmanlike terrier from here the UK. Their coats and trimming were beautiful but it was the dog underneath I was judging. Overall hindquarters the standard asks for a moderate turn of stifle and movement a mincing gait. That means neither straight nor over extended as this can alter both top line and movement. Another thing I found and disliked was big thick ears. On the up side heads and mouths have improved and a lot of the exhibits had plenty of muscle with well defined second thighs. Temperaments were excellent. Shoulders and upper arms no change.

VD (7) Nice class.
1 Mayes Ch Rathsrigg One Misty Morning, very nice dog in lovely condition. Long lean head with dark eye. Deep flat ribs, strong loins and good top line. Dark coat finishing the picture and correct mincing gait. B.V.
2 Davies, Ch Honeymist Sunny, smaller than 1 but a well balanced dog with good outline. Nice head and eye. Moved well and steadily. Handled beautifully.
3 Caines Burmington And Me Too, long head with good eye and large nostrils. Well proportioned with a bit of length and good depth. Moved well but flattened a little.

SPD (2)
1 Morris Honeymist Mellow Tone in Bluemazzu, bigger in height and length than 2 with nice head and arched neck. Needs to settle and body up. Moved slightly better than 2.
2 Murby & Heraty, Tassel Tabs Timber, another that needs to settle. A shade short therefore his top line is a little forward but good, had plenty of colour today.

SJD (5)
1st Garbutts, Highdene Hitman At Aireview, looks well from the ring side but needs to body up on a closer look. Won on his neck, shoulders, topline and tailset. Liked his length and moved ok.
2 Richardsons, Highdene Howzthat, like this dog and when he settles could do better. Lovely head with good expression. Good shoulders and upper arm. Correct coat in both colour and texture. Moved steadily.
3 Hamiltons, Monlazuli Life Of Riley, all there, bit unsettled.

PGD (1)
1 Bouses, Tredomen Big Floyd, stood alone but worth his placing. Excels in coat colour and texture. Good neck and shoulders with strong arch over loin. Moved well with mincing gait.

LD (9)
1 Alders Catchfraze Free n Eezzi, sound dog with no exaggerations. Nice angulation fore and aft. Good legs, sloping pasterns and hare feet. Moved well.
2 Sattas Colacoda Havent Met You Yet, nicely presented dog with his nice reachy neck. Has deep brisket and flat ribs. A little over angulated at the back.
3 Brooks Doehey Heartstrings, masculine dog with plenty of bone. Looked good in outline on the move but played his handler up a bit on the stand.

OD (14) Best class of the day. These 3 dogs looked stunning which made my job so much harder. Credit to the rest of the class too who had to go cardless.
1 Owen's CH Bisbee Beachcomber JW, saw this dog as a youngster and knew then he was destined to be a star. Handsome male with lovely head free from coarseness. Well placed shoulders and upper arm with a good horseshoe front. Good top line with strong loins and correct hindquarters. Moved well. A true Bedlington. I was delighted to award the C.C & B.O.B.
2 Kiernan & Lui's CH Bisbee Boy Wonder, beautifully presented dog with a lovely outline. Lovely head and eye leading to arched neck. Good front legs with sloping pasterns. Pushed the winner hard and the deciding factor was not quite the movement of 1. Res C.C.
3 Walters & Mitchell CH Rathsrigg Millrace, another lovely dog superb coat of colour and texture. Long lean head filled under the eye. Good neck, shoulders and top line. His movement wasn't quite as good as the other 2.

GD CIT DOG (1)
1 Caines Burmington And Me Too. Repeat but deserved this placing.

VB (4)
1 Bannister Miteymidgets Myaquila, she had the best top line standing and moving. Good coat colour and texture. Well formed rear with good muscle with second thigh which she used on the move.
2 Taylor CH. Inkahoots with Uptnorth, lovely bitch I have honoured before in her heyday. Love her correct shoulders and upper arm. Seemed a little hunched on the stand but better on the move.
3rd Ames, Mollora Frozen In Time At Sharnor, neat bitch who has a nice shape. Excels in coat colour and texture. Like a bit more of her but credit to her owner.

SPB (3)
1 Williams Ystwythbay Rhapsody in Blue, really dark coated bitch with a sweet head and expression. Aleady strong in loin and hindquarters. Moved ok.
2 Walters & Mitchell Tunman Topsy Turvy, promising baby who is going to be hard to settle. Liked her front top line and front angulation. Promising.
3 Godden's Vakurblue Bacon Buttie, has a good eye nice legs and hare feet. Not the movement of the other 2.

SJB (5)
1 Richardson, Highdene High Society, very nice bitch with good body and loin. Good front legs and feet. Best mover in class.
2 Hurley, Fralex Culibre Pharos, nice girl well presented. Good colour coat. Moved with top line but stood fairly flat today.
3 Gamimella Colacoda You Ought To Be in Movies JW, on the stand looked very nice, deep brisket over exaggerated rear moved that way.

PGB (11,)
1 Lacey Bowlingbrook Trick or Treat, liked her as a pup and still do. Correct size, lovely head with good foreface and is in good coat colour and texture. Top line kept on move leading to good hindquarters. Moved well.
2 Harris Ratzwell Dolly Mixture, very nice girl who has plenty of substance. Nice head, correct eyes and thin ears. Deep brisket. Moved steadily.
3 Kinns Burmington Truly Blue, well made bitch with good ratio of size and length. Excels in shoulders, deep flat ribs and well muscled.

LB (10,2)
1 Shorrock, Doehey Queen of Hearts, classy lady as always nicely prepared and handled. Correct coat with slight twist. Neat body with good tuck up leading to good turn of stifle and short hocks. Moves well.
2nd Williamson, Kenocto Blue Moon of Mandenssa, nicely proportioned with good arched neck and well placed shoulders. Liked her ratio of height and length. Moved well.
Winstanley, Catchfraze Flirty Girty, slightly bigger bitch than 1 and 2 but still has lots to like. Liked her head, good bone, legs, sloping pasterns and feet.

OB (17,4)
1 Phillips, Cassdenal Serenditpity, so typical of the breed she has lovely head with strong foreface. Excellent reach of neck, good top line, strong loins and correct tail set. She has a good outline and height to length ratio. Moved with a mincing gait. Pleased to hear it was her third and crowning C.C.
2 Ames, Sharnor Emerald Electra, another quality bitch with good shoulders and front. True blue coat with ultra white furnishings. Just preferred the movement of 1. Res. C.C.
3 Cedric, PT/SP/LUX/FR.CH. Eh Halicamasse of Celtic Odyssey, has a beautiful outline. Good quarters fore and aft. Deep brisket, flat ribs and strong loin. Not the head of the two before her it was a little narrow.

GD CIT. BITCH (4)
1 Bannister, Miteymidgets Matilda, nice size bitch with well developed muscle, second thigh and short hocks. Excels in deep brisket and flat ribs. Moved well.
2 Kinns, Burmington Truly Blue. Repeat.
3 Caines, Gnejnabay Just Asha at Burmington, a most workmanlike Bedlington with a show dogs body. She has an excellent dark coat but unfortunately no furnishings. Very fit and sound mover.
